Meet Dave Travis, Our New Director of Strategic Counsel to Pastors & Church Boards

We are excited to announce that Dave Travis has joined the Generis Team as Director of Strategic Counsel to Pastors & Church Boards. Dave brings a rich background of ministry experience which includes more than 30 years of successfully helping churches and church leadership. You may know Dave from his role at Leadership Network, most recently as the CEO. Under his leadership and direction, Leadership Network helped facilitate and foster key movements among larger churches including the multisite movement, the leadership development processes in larger churches and most recently the use of “big data” for engagement with congregants and community.

Dave’s primary experience is with America’s largest churches and their leadership teams. His mentors included Bob Buford, Peter Drucker and Lyle Schaller and he has adapted many of their practices into his own consulting.

Generis is now expanding its spectrum of services to help its clients with other matters that are indirectly or directly related to generosity development. This includes new divisions for Executive Pastors, Family Ministry and Multisite. As we add these services, it only made sense to add Pastoral Succession Planning and Church Leadership and Board Coaching and Planning under Dave’s leadership.

For the past 10 years, Dave has been behind the scenes in succession planning among some of the largest churches in America both through private counsel and planning with their teams. Dave will help give direction and leadership to some of these new initiatives to help broaden Generis’ capacities to serve churches with a breadth of strategic leadership initiatives we see needs for every day. He is passionate about helping churches reach their goals, and we think you’ll be impressed at the level of expertise he brings for you and your team.
